25th Defense: End of an Era
Project Highlights
"The 25th Defense" is a 48-minute Emmy Award winning documentary on The America's Cup Race. The 1983 America's Cup was the first successful challenge to the New York Yacht Club's 132-year defence of the sailing trophy. The Australian team's Royal Perth Yacht Club won the regatta and match race, gaining the America's Cup and ending the longest winning streak in sporting history.

The Route
Aside from ideal sailing conditions in and around the waters of Newport, Rhode Island, this project took us all around Newport including several fly-overs by helicopter. Our team also spent a lot of time combing Newport wharfs in search of skippers and crew for interviews.
