Renown cinematographer Ulli Bonnekamp filmed the Halifax to Greenland leg of the Northwest Passage trip. Ullie has a broad range of professional experience: He has shot numerous TV commercials, primarily in 35 and 16mm film, and is a long-time producer for Getty Images Film in New York, the world's largest stock agency. His documentary work ranges from WNET's Emmy winning "Broadway" series and its sequel on American Comedy, "Make 'm Laugh" (2009), to National Geographic (Kenya, 1992), Sundance Channel"s "Big Ideas for a Small Planet" (2007-2009) and the popular NBC series "Crime and Punishment". He worked on David Grubin's 2008 PBS series "The Jewish Americans", numerous assignments for the BBC and an upcoming Discovery Channel documentary series titled "Tribes", produced by @Radical Media, for whom Ulli also shot on the acclaimed show "Iconoclasts". Other clients include HBO, FOX, TBS and WGBH and credits on "Inconvenient Truth" and "Shut up and Sing".Expanding into the role of co-director/cameraman Ulli is currently working on a documentary series on traditional peacebuilding and community reconciliation, ecological restoration and reintegration of child soldiers in post civil war Liberia, West Africa.
