Dr. Wagner is a board-certified internist, anesthesiologist and pain medicine specialist practicing at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. He has also been a cruise ship doctor, medical director of an air-ambulance company and ER doc (among other things) in past lives. He has a love for adventure of any kind, especially if it involves boating. Dr. Wagner developed the medical kit for the expedition and will be providing tele-medicine support to the crew via satellite phone, in the unlikely event it is needed.
